One of my favorite paranormal series of all time. I’ve followed Rebecca Hamilton from the beginning and The Forever Girl series holds a special place in my heart. Learn more about the books below and check out Rebecca’s website at

Series Description:

Forever Girls are earth’s last hope to end a centuries old supernatural war. But blood-sucking elemental creatures will do anything to stop them. The hunt has begun.

If you like the bite of True Blood, the bones of Twilight, and the heart of The Craft, then you’ll devour this hauntingly beautiful new adult paranormal romance series.

A cult. A murder. A curse.

Sophia can imagine lots of ways to improve her life, but she’d settle for just getting rid of the buzzing noise in her head. When the spell she casts goes wrong, the static turns into voices. Her personal demons are soon joined by the company of otherworldly creatures, and the newcomers are dangerous.

One of them is a man named Charles, who Sophia falls for despite her better judgment. He has connections that might help her unveil the mystery surrounding her ancestor’s hanging, but she gets more than she bargains for when she finally decides to trust him.

Forced to choose between two forbidden loves.

Rose is desperate to escape her abusive father and the dark spirits who haunt her, but before she can get away, her daughter is kidnapped, and the spirits force her three hundred years into the past.

Now trapped in the midst of the Salem witch trials, Rose is left with only one way out: facing certain death to banish the dark spirits that plague the town before they destroy civilization and trap her in this alternate life.

Even if she can complete the task in time to return to Georgia and save her daughter, there’s still one problem: she’s falling in love with a man who can’t return with her.

Fans of The Crucible who like dark paranormal fantasy, peculiar supernatural creatures, and unusual, troubled characters will love the next installment in Rebecca Hamilton’s bestselling series.

“Is it safe to come out now?”

The sound of Chuck’s voice as he took the last step that brought him into what had, only moments before, been a battle arena, was anything but fearful. He sounded as though he was trying to suppress a fit of laughter.

Tony looked at his friend and shook his head dejectedly. “Jesus, Chuck. What the hell’s the matter with me?”

“I was about to ask you the same question, boyo. You really screwed the pooch that time, didn’t you?”

Chuck shook his head as he made his way to the coffee pot. He lifted the empty carafe and held it up for Tony to inspect.

“You didn’t even save me a drop?” Chuck complained, giving the carafe another shake, a look of hope in his moss green eyes. “Ah, well. I guess after the morning you had, you needed it more than I did. I’ll just take my caffeine cold and have a Coke. I prefer it over coffee anyway.”

Chuck gave Tony one of his ever-present, always charming grins, and continued. “We can have a seat and you can tell Uncle Chuck all about what happened. What made a normally sane and rational man act like a braying jackass?”

“I don’t want to talk about it, Chuck. The early shift is starting to set up the dining area for weekend brunch and the line cook will be here any minute.”

Tony started back to his office, hesitated and then spun around to face the only man he could truly talk to. He know whatever was said would go no farther. Even though the place wouldn’t open its doors until ten thirty for The Blue Mermaid’s weekend brunch special, he was reluctant to talk to anyone about what he’d done to Carly.

He hated making a scene. Doing just that in front of Scarlett and Rhett, was bad enough, but knowing that Chuck had heard his absurd behavior was downright humiliating. He didn’t want to consider what his employees would think if they heard him and Chuck discussing something so personal.

Then again, he decided, when Chuck was taken into your confidence, he would take his vow of silence to the grave.

He dropped his head, shaking it in disbelief at his own arrogance as he asked. “Am I just channeling Carly’s emotions?”

“And why would you be thinking that?”

“Because  . . . she . . . I feel . . . Rhett . . .” He huffed out a breath and his shoulders sagged like a balloon losing all of its air.

“You know, Tony,” Chuck said with a snigger. “If you finish even one of those thoughts, I might be able to answer your question.”

He sighed and clapped Chuck on the shoulder. “Let’s both have a Coke and sit at the bar.” He headed into the other part of the restaurant. “No one will disturb us.  If anyone sees me in the office we’ll never have any privacy.”

Kate Porter Author Portrait1About the Author:

For as long as I can remember, I have had one true passion, even as a young girl: writing. Poetry and short stories were my pleasure and my escape while growing up on a small farm approximately fifty miles south of Indianapolis. From my first short story printed in my high school newspaper at the age of fifteen, until the publication of my debut novel, SECRETS IN BETHLEHEM, in the summer of 2012, I have dreamed of being an author.

As the recipient of the 2014 New Apple Book Award Medal for the Mystery Category and a two time winner of the Indie Book of the Day award, I have explored several different genres in my writing career, (They say variety is the spice of life and I believe that to be the case). I have an eclectic taste in my own reading material as well. I have studied fiction writing at Greenville Tech, in Greenville, SC and traveled to Georgia for a writing workshop with my best friend.

But one of my biggest thrills was when I was profiled in WOMAN’S DAY magazine (as seen in the photo above). When my hometown newspaper, in Spencer, Indiana did a front page, feature article after my first book was published, I knew my dream had come true.

I can’t not write. There are so many stories just waiting to be written, what else can a writer do? Besides, I love books!
